In addition to hosting tours, we occasionally offer fun-filled foodie events to provide a deeper insight to the foodscape of the delicious South Coast; or provide a more hands-on experience. Here’s our next ‘special event’ to be hosted with our friends at Kangaroo Valley Olives in March 2015.

Be an olive farmer for a day!

Saturday 21 March 2015 – 9.30am-2pm approx

Olive Harvest 2015

Get amongst the groves and be part of the autumn olive harvest 2015. Join us and our friends at Kangaroo Valley Olives to learn about growing olives and taking them from ‘tree to table’.

The trees and fruit are looking great this year and they are expecting a great crop and so the date has been set for Saturday 21 March 2015.

On the day we will harvest olives from the groves, tour the property and brine room, learn about storage and processing, and experience a guided tasting of Kangaroo Valley Olives products. And, after your hard work, you’ll relax with your fellow farmers over a delicious ‘harvester’s lunch’.

9.30am – 2.00pm approx
$125 per person

Event inclusions:

  • Morning tea/coffee on arrival with homemade treats.
  • 2-course Harvester’s Lunch of slow cooked lamb, roasted potatoes and salads and a glass of local wine, followed by cake.
  • Behind the scenes experience of a working olive grove and farm, accessed exclusively through Foodscape Tours.
  • Harvesting experience guided by Kangaroo Valley Olives.
  • Tasting of Kangaroo Valley Olives products.
